Calming the Storm Program
Calming the Storm Program is aimed at parent’s of child and young adults who are struggling with ongoing emotional, and behavioral regulation issues resulting in unmanaged mental health challenges. Our program helps those parents who need more support to help overcome challenging situations that can rise to crisis, and family destroying patterns. This program will help parents begin to calm the storm in home with learning how to respond to challenging behaviors through parent support, skills, without judgement and a whole lot of compassion.

What is Calming the Storm program?
The Calming the Storm program focuses on four components to help build and support wise minded Parenting. The Thrive program will then focus on these areas:
Parent Wisemind: The core to moving in an effective direction with your family is learning how to parent from a value centered regulated place as a parent. You will learn the necessary skills needed to move your family up towards improve wellness, and feeling more effective as a parent.
Calming the storm: We start with identifying the most significate problematic behaviors in the home. We explore how you are managing and responding to these, along with helping you to begin to learn and apply to tools to reducing the frequency and the intensity of these behaviors. In this module we will slow down and look at the impact not only on your child, but as well as you as a parent.
Transforming the Transaction: Our daily interactions and engagement with our child often can be damaged due to mental health challenges. We will help to begin to change and transform the interactions you and your child are having around mental health and challenging behaviors. We we engage differently and respond differently can give a chance for better outcomes.
