Riding the Storm: Crisis Support

Riding the storm service works with parents of children regardless of age who are being faced with an immediate or urgent mental health emergency. Our program works with parents short term to help navigate the mental health obstacles that parents are faced with when a sudden or ongoing mental health issue has risen to an emergency. The program helps to provide clinical understanding of the situation parents are in, support in navigating the mental health system, coordination of clinical care, case management, and guidance on the next step. We work with parents in the hardest moments to make better, informed wise minded decisions.

Who may benefit from Riding the Storm

  • Current child in the hospital for mental health reasons,

  • Current level of support or treatment is failing,

  • Threats of hurting others and self

  • Treatment resistance or refusal with high risk

  • A child who is active in high risk behaviors,

  • A child who is not functioning in daily life,

  • Medical instability due to mental health

  • Feeling unsafe in your own home

Getting Support when we need it the most.

Having someone to talk with, ask question and get support when faced with a child who is in crisis is not only needed, but we believe is essential. Many parent’s don’t know who to turn to, what questions to ask, or how to begin to move forward when faced with a child who is in crisis. Riding the Storm is a service which offers parent’s support when it is most needed. Our program allows parents more opportunity for wiseminded choices short term and long term for their child. We first need to stabilize the crisis so we can move on to calming and supporting ourselves and our child. We will work with you as a parent on creating a plan to point you and your child towards a better path with support along the way. We at The Be Center believe only when we feel supported and nurtured than can we do this for others effectively.

How it works

Our crisis support service begins with a contact call, followed by an assessment to better understand how we can help you in the time of need. We will work with you as a parent and other providers to create a plan and feel supported towards the next step you and your child need.

We at The Be Center have other levels of service to help you each step of the way for what may be needed for you and your family. We also will work to find the right fit and level of care for your child if needed. Our service starts with a upfront retainer fee to allow us to start moving quickly.
