Thrive
The Thrive program is designed to support family mental wellness and help parents on their journey with their child to build healthy mental health, enhance parent-child relationships, and foster greater balance within the home. Thrive is particularly beneficial for parents of children exhibiting early signs of emotional and behavioral challenges, while also serving as a subsequent step for others already engaged in the program.
The Thrive program is an early intervention model that encourages parents to take a step back and focus on their child's emotional needs and understand how they can influence behavior when their child is struggling. This proactive approach aims to reduce the escalation of their child’s challenges and guide the family toward wellness. The Thrive program spans seven months and includes ongoing parent coaching sessions that start weekly and reduce over time, as well as a monthly DBT for Parents Skill Group.

What is the Thrive Program?
Thrive focuses on these core components:
Parent Wisemind:
The heart of moving in an effective direction with your family is learning how to parent from a value-centered, regulated place as a parent. You will learn the necessary skills needed to move your family towards improved wellness and to feel more effective as a parent.
Transforming the Transactions:
When a child is struggling, this influences the parent's own emotions and responses. These responses back and forth between the child and parent can be hard to manage and overcome. We will help you look at these interactions to find better ways to improve and respond that attend to your child’s and your own emotions in a more validating way.
Influencing Behaviors:
Helping parents know how to influence behavior in a more effective way using behavioral principles. We will work with you to find better ways of responding to situations and problems using behavioral principles and the connection with your child.
Rebuilding Relationships:
Aimed at growing the connection with your child and family. We work with parents to build a deeper connection, to be a cheerleader instead of a problem solver in your child’s life, helping them reach their own goals.
Creating Family Balance:
Working with your child and family to create an overall sense of well-being and harmony in the home. This is the time when parents often begin to build a strong sense of self and a life outside of their child’s mental health, focusing on their own well-being.
Thrive is a 7-month program designed for parents who want more support, tools, and confidence in navigating challenges with their child—at any age, including teens and young adults. Each month, you’ll participate in a 2-hour DBT for Parents skills group and receive ongoing parent coaching to help you apply what you’re learning directly to real-life situations at home. This is not just about understanding new strategies—it’s about changing how you respond in the moments that tend to feel most stressful or stuck.
A dedicated parent coach will walk alongside you throughout the program, helping you translate skills into action, break out of unhelpful patterns, and feel more grounded and confident in your role as a parent. You don’t have to figure this out alone or rely on trial and error.
Thrive also intentionally supports you as a parent, because when you feel more steady, supported, and clear, your relationships at home can begin to shift in meaningful ways.
For families who would benefit from a more intensive level of support, we also offer our DBT for Parents program. Individual therapy and couples services are available for parents who want additional support alongside Thrive.
Big Step, Real Impact.
Let us take some of the pressure off you and your family. We offer support to parents who need it the most.
